Yogurt Treats
1-32 oz. container of vanilla yogurt and 1 cup of peanut butter and a tablespoon of honey.
I also use Stonyfield Organic Low-Fat Yogurt and organic peanut butter.
Put the peanut butter in a microwave safe dish and microwave until melted. Keep an eye on it as it can burn quickly.
Mix the yogurt and the melted peanut butter in a bowl.
Pour mixture into cupcake pan lined with papers and freeze. When they are frozen hard, you can pop them out of the cupcake pan and put them in a zip-loc bag for storage in the freezer.

Wow, i keep buying clearance organic and plain yogurts that are near their expiration date and of course don’t eat them all in time lol…I will mix it up for my poochies…why the added honey?
I think I will omit that as my favorite pooch is as fluffy as I lol. The other is a sweetie and is fine weigth-wize but won’t need the extra anyway.
Thx for the idea to use up my excess $.39 yogurts (and my $3.99 Peanut butter)…whew! The money I will save lololol

Tried this yesterday. My dogs are small so I used ice cube trays instead of muffin tins. They’re sensitive to peanut butter so I used sunflower seed butter, almond butter and a bit of tahini instead. And, I added blueberried because they loooove them!
I guess it’s not really the same recipe at all!!!

omg my dogs loved it and they are vary picky eaters so i was amazed and i also volonter at a local animal shelter so i made a ton for the 108 dogs that are there [exept for 2 of the dogs because they were sensitive to it]

I would have never thought about that! Good for you! The dogs love the cold treats when it’s hot, well even if it’s not:) I like the fact they use low fat yogurt:)

price for a large plain, or vanilla yogurt
that I can eat also myself.. and just freeze it
in cupcake cups, or ice trays, will save
me tons of treat money pouring out each month!!!

I make these for my 2 greyhounds/ one borzoi and 2 Igss..they LOVE it…i ahve fed them Stonyfield yogurt for several years and its the BEST ever…even I like it …Im converted! LOL
I use small muffin holders ( those rubbery ones) Ice cube size would be too small and I worry about them choking if they got it all in their mouth…this way I usually hold them and they lick away:)

Our Goldendoodle loves Frosty Paws from the store. However they are a bit expensive. She does not like peanut butter at all so what could you recommend for flavor mixed with the yogurt? Thank you.

If your dog does not like peanut butter, you could just use the yogurt and the honey:) I agree with you about the frosty paws not cheap, but I also know that the store I shop at they have just the plain with no peanut butter added. I would think what ever your dog really likes go for it, it will freeze. You could crush some milk bones mix it with the yogurt and honey and freeze:)

I’m going to make some yogurt treats for my dog using pln greek yogurt and frozen raspberries. He loves those! You could use strawberries or blueberries too

You guys all sound so loving – if the whole world could love our little furries as much – wouldn’t that be great!! I’m having a problem with my 10 year old shitzu, Millie. Overnight, she was vomiting and having horrible diahrrea. After many blood tests and x-rays, my vet is stumped. We’re beginning treatment for Guardia today, even though Dr. doesn’t really think that’s the cause. After research, it sounds very likely. The Fluora Flor (probably misspelled) he recommended to put back the good bacteria, is horrible. She’s not eating much at all, so putting that stuff on her food if not an option. I am off to Target to get some unflavored yogurt. If anyone has experienced something similar, please let me know. Next order of treatment is an ultrasound.Thanks !

I recently had a woman I was having a chit chat with in the bank line tell me about this treat – PB & yogurt. I occasionally purchase the Purina doggie ice-cream (who knows what’s in that!). Anyhow, I decided to research before just taking her word on it and ran into this site. I do feed my puppies PB and they love it. I take a plastic spoon and hold it while they eat it. I don’t give them anymore. You know what they say; too much of a good thing is not good. I have taken photos of them eating it because they cannot help but get it all over the outside of their mouths. They usually need a little help getting cleaned up. But anyhow I am going to try the yogurt and PB. I am sure it will be a lovely treat for them.

I made a receipe much like this. I put the bananas in food processor then added the y0gurt. I filled ice cube trays half up then put a dollop of peanut butter in the center of each then fillled up with yogurt again. I know they will love these. Funny thing was granddaughter was watching and asked can she try 0ne when they are done freezing. Told her sure can. LOL

I’m going to use small plastic cups (copying from a store frozen brand) and going to let my dog spend about 5 min licking it out of the cup while he drools all over my hand lol :)

I have a siberian husky and am always looking for ways to provide her a cool and healthy treat during the summer months. It was a hit! She loves them and I absolutely love how quick, easy and inexpensive they are to make. Both me and my husky thank you!
P.S. I left out the honey too, but she certainly didn’t seem to mind :)
