Frozen Yogurt Dog Treat Recipe

I occassionally make this recipe for the dogs. They both love these things!

  • 1-32 oz. container of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup of peanut butter
  • tablespoon of honey

Put the peanut butter in a microwave safe dish and microwave until melted. Keep an eye on it as it can burn quickly.

Mix the yogurt and the melted peanut butter in a bowl.

Pour mixture into cupcake pan lined with papers and freeze.

When the treats are frozen hard, you can pop them out of the cupcake pan and put them in a zip-loc bag for storage in the freezer.

Change it up by adding a mashed ripe banana (or other ripe fruit your dogs might like.)  I have added leftover blueberries, and some sliced srawaberries, too.

  1. I’m sure Tulip would love this, but since she loves almost anything, should I make it? I might like it too much! The vet said she’s a little anemic, so gave me some “doggie Geritol”. One side effect, the doc said, was an “enhanced appetite”. Oh, good — just what we need. By the way, it works — I think her iron level is up, but her appetite is DEFINITELY enhanced.

    • haha! you bet. I do this all the time. Cosmo is such a little glutton .. he will grab the jar and run and hide until its licked clean. Clover just looks bewildered until I give her a Kong with some pb in it.
